| Project | In the area of the Neue Niers, damage has already occurred in the past as a result of windthrow on and around the existing dyke structures. The section of the Neue Niers under consideration extends over a length of approx. 900 m upstream of the Niersee flood retention basin. The section is accompanied on the right by an earthwork dyke. Plans envisage a reinforcement of the dike through the installation of a static replacement system. At the same time, the course of the watercourse is to be designed taking into account ecological aspects. |
